Steveo (4-5) @ Steve (6-3) –39

Strong play over the last several weeks has caused quite a QB controversy on my squad.  Obviously Peyton gets his spot every week, but now the cream of the crop of AFC West QBs (Plummer and Rivers) are splittin time at #2.  I hope I can give them enough playing time to keep them happy as I coast towards the playoffs.  Steveo does have the best WR in the league in Andre Johnson (65 rec, 752 yds, 4 tds) but having the 17th best RB (R. Bush…u may have heard of him) in the league is not helping his outside shot at the playoffs.  I plan to end his misery early and practically knock him out of the playoffs this week.

Pick: the good guys

Jaffe (1-8) @ Keith (8-1) –100

Nothing much has to be said about this game.  Jaffe hasn’t scored over 220 points Week 5 (234.78, his highest point total of the season).  Keith has yet to score under 250 points and in the last month has averaged 313.73 points.  This makes Keith the first 100 point favorite.

Pick: Jaffe with the points and I still don’t feel good about it

Phil (0-9) @ Matt (4-5) – 49

Carson Palmer is cranky, TO can’t catch and the Chicago defense just lost to the fish at home.  Matt’s locker room is in turmoil right now.  I’m sure he was flippin out like Scott Miller after the Immaculata game at films this week.  We’re goin to learn a lot of about his ability to manage his team this week.  Luckily for him he plays Phil this week which is the Fantasy Football equivalent to waking up drunk, seeing used condoms all over the floor and seeing a swimsuit model next to u.

Steve sidenote I: Matt, I like the team name but if it were Phuck U Phil or Fuck u Fil I’d like it a little more and prolly made the spread a little less so u would be more likely to cover.

Pick: Cupporting the Cive

Johnny (4-5) @ Timmy (6-3) –17

There aren’t goin to be any birthday presents exchanged before this game folks.  As sited by Keith earlier today this game has major playoff implications.  It’s been well documented that I think the yahoo! projected points are complete bs but it is worthy of note to say Johnny is projected to score 295.77 points this week.  I’ve never seen such a thing.  I’m sure he’ll disappoint as usual.  Earlier in an IM to me he added this comment: “Gazula3 (3:08:55 PM): I am all that is man.”  He’s confident.  But I don’t see how McNair and Gradkowski can continue to lead Tim’s team.

Steve sidenote II:  The reason u guys weren’t the game of the week is simply because your team names suck.  Johns is OK but timmy is spending too much time eatin “free” chicken parms to be worried about ff team names.  My suggestion to Tim: order the veal dude.

Pick: JJ

GAME OF THE WEEK

Steve sidenote III: Johnny can we get a link so that when somebody clicks on the game of the week text they get the old school “plays…of… the week (cue referee whistle)” from sportscenter in the 90s.  Maybe that can only exist in m dreams.

Nick (6-3) @ Billy (6-3) –29

As Billy’s team name points out: Nick is an overrated 6-3.  I will now back that up with numbers cause I’m an engineer and that’s what we do.  In the last 5 weeks:

Points Scored

Record

Nick

1224.13

4-1

Billy

1400.42

2-3

So Nick has averaged 35 points a week less then Billy yet has won 2 more games.  Honestly with Nick not facing Jaffe or Phil the rest of the year he could potentially still miss the playoffs.  Billy had a hoooooge mid season acquisition with Chester Taylor (26 points a week over the last 3 weeks out of the #3 RB spot).  He’s also got the leagues best QB comin off a bye week (it was nice not hearin about the Eagles for a week).  Romo has turned out to not suck for Biggs (34 ppg) and he is goin to Arizona this week so u would expect similar production.

Pick: Billy even though he dissed Irish Football
