Welcome to Week 15, the Semifinals.  Last week we had a shocking upset in the first round of the playoffs.  It was so shocking it wasn’t even the Game of the Week.  I’ll try not to make this mistake in the future.

The “Who Gives a Shit” Bowl

Steveo (8-5) @ Tim (9-4) –45

I think the winner should give the loser a bowl of his feces.

Steve (8-5) @ Keith (11-2) –7

Match-up by the numbers

Regular Season Series: Steve 4-3

Post Season Series: Steve 2-0

This Season:

Week 6: Keith 315.83 Steve 293.97

After Thursday nights game I couldn’t be happier and Keith is wondering what he was thinking.  Gore had an awesome game for me and Smith was benched by Keith and decided to have the best game of his career, racking up 36.53 points.  Given that and my post season record maybe I should be the favorite.  Keith is starting young gun Jay Cutler (my boy) against the Cards which should be a good match-up for him.  He looked comfortable against the stacked SD defense last week so we’ll see how it goes.  Keith is also rollin the dice on Aaron Brooks who did have 25 points last week while resting on Keith’s bench.  Keith’s just hopin he doesn’t sink his battleship with a negative performance.  I start Peyton and Rivers.  Advantage: Steve.  At RB I have Westbrook (@ struggling NYG Def) and resurgent J. Lewis (20 points last week) left.  Keith’s got LJ against the SD Def who played well against the Broncos run attack last week.  Sammy Morris is goin to have to play well in the freezing conditions of Buffalo for the fish to have a shot this weekend.  Addai has 4 TDs in the last 3 weeks.  I’d say we are even to advantage Keith. I’m lookin forward to this game goin down to wire (prolly not as good as the epic Matt-Timmy game last week) with Addai and Manning playing on Monday night.

Pick: Steve

Game of the Week

Matt (7-6) @ Billy (9-4) –14

Match-up by the numbers

Regular Season Series: Matt 3-2

Post Season Series: No prior meetings

This Season:

Week 8: Matt 303.00 Billy 263.61

Matt looks to feed off of the energy created by his 76.97 4th quarter (yes, I just referred to the MNF game as the 4th quarter) last week in the upset playoff win that he will no doubt tell his grand kids about some day.  Billy was idle last week but active on the waiver wire, as always.  Billy has an ok fantasy game for Hasselbeck last night and jumped out to a 21.9 point advantage.  This game may also be decided on Monday nite with Palmer suitin up for Matt and Reggie Wayne playin for Billy.  I say the 4 of us go out for the game/talk shit to each other/keep refreshing the stat tracker on my cell phone.  Sound good?  Johnny, u can come but you cant sit at the same table as us.  As always, Matt is goin to rely on the leagues top scoring defense (Chicago, 420 points).  Wait a second, they are the 4th highest scoring entity in the league behind Brees (512.60, alone in the “holy shit that’s a lot of points” category), LDT (456.42) and P. Manning (426.52).  Maybe Biggs was on to something in the draft when he snatched up Carolina in round 5.  They are currently available and the 18th ranked defense in the league.  Maybe he’s an idiot.  Ok, got sidetracked, I’m back.  Billy’s got 6 QBs on his team (just had to say that).  Unfortunately for me, he isn’t starting the Dayne Train but is starting Marion Barber III who had 2 touches for -1 yard last week (interesting decision).  Lee Evans had 17.60 points last week.  Billy’s top 3 WRs are stacked though (Housfkdjdokj, Wayne, SS).

Pick: Matt keeps on truckin
