Miss the Draft, Miss the Playoffs

(Freehold, NJ) A perennial favorite is on the verge of missing the playoffs for the first time ever. Steve Osborne (AMatchMadeInLondon) is currently in 7^th place and has the lowest point total. Lowest because two other owners have simply become filler spots and are winless. The only other owner below “SteveO” has a team which can apply for AARP in a few weeks, but did show signs of a potential competitor after this week’s 9 wins in the power rankings.

In the past four years SteveO has had 4 straight years of top four regular season finishes. These being two second places and a third and fourth. This is a very reputable statistic to have in a highly competitive, bragging rights league.

One may say just bad luck this year. Other may contribute this poor season so far to an absence at this year’s draft, for reasons unconfirmed. Mixed reports has put him food shopping in a Freehold food store, to a concert in NYC, to looking at wedding rings at a local jeweler’s. Another may be the lack of participation in the league due to having full time job and also a full time girl friend.

This week especially was one of the most pathetic performances by any manager in the league. Scoring only 164.48 points this week, third lowest this year. An early vacation could be on hand. However though some clutch moves in the next few weeks could jump start him and get his team back on a road to the playoffs.
